Originally by: CCP Zulupark To elaborate a little on this, we ran into issues that could not be foreseen late in the deployment procedure.
BS Detection Alarm: that were not foreseen.
Quote: Also, the issues encountered were not with the patch or code itself, but rather with our distribution mechanics for the patches.
BS Detection Alarm: Either way you ****** up.
And no compensation. No surprise there either.

Absolutely not a lie :), it was unforeseen network issues that have to do with our distribution pipeline for patches.
Care to elaborate on these "network issues"?

Whiny people make this forum almost unbearable some days.
The whiners about the whiners just make it so much more bearable though.

Originally by: TimMc lol I love how completely unforgiving the eve community is.
If you bought a game from a shop and it didnt do what it says on the box you would:
a) put it in the bin and forget about the fact that you paid for it. b) pretend you are part of a community of ass-kissers who try to defend everything the game makers do on a public forum and forget that you paid for it. c) remember that you paid for it and don't owe the game maker anything for their **** ups?
Marks: a) or b) epic fail. c) your rights as a consumers.

Originally by: An Anarchyyt Your right as a consumer is to rage uncontrollably when unforeseen issues happen?
When cusmtomer services try to fob you off with BS you say thank you and hang up, right?
The reason people rage on these forums is because of the way CCP fails to handle these situations and fobs us off with enigmatic replies like "unforeseen" read: didn't foresee, and "network issues" read: we don't like admitting we fouled up because then we might have to compensate you.
Quote: Are you the same person who suggests suing when you dump coffee in your lap and it turns out to be hot?
People have a right to complain about a product that does not do what it says on the box. This is a completely different situation from people failing to take the right precautions when handling something they know can be dangerous. Hot coffee can burn = known fact.
The funniest thing about the situation that you describe is that the person who burnt themselves with the coffee from McD's actually won.
Now, who is really the ass here? The person or the legal system that upheld their complaint?
